    This would save us a lot of disk space having to prep an additional colorspace (linearized or srgb) set of images of images planes for lighters. by having the lut on an image we can simply put in a corrective lut for the image plane(backplate) and we're good to go. This would streamline our color management pipeline.

    thoughts?

    We do have a LUT color-correcting texture already, so I guess it would be a matter of adding it to the installation and adding the respective extra V-Ray attributes to the File nodes.
