Animation prepass to render mode path usage

Could we have the path which is accociated to the prepass to automatically appear when the rendering phase is turn on?

You can cut and paste i know!

Also do you still have to tick "Dont render final image" when doing a prepass could be automatically ticked when prepass is in use?

We can do that only if the path is empty - would that be ok?

When you use the 'animation prepass' mode, V-Ray will not render the final image anyways, regardless of that option. So you can just leave it disabled. But I will make a note for this anyways.
