    Hi,
    Like the title say, when you connect some materials to a vraymeshmtl (of a proxy), and when you add a material ID attribute to each material, the material ID render element doesn't work (and the multimatte also).
    It is possible to, when we haven't material ID attribute on the vraymeshmtl of a proxy, take the material ID of all connected shader ?

    Thanks for the pointer; it's a bug and will be fixed (hopefully for the next build tomorrow).

      Any news about this ?
      Tested with the build 16412 win64, it doesn't work (material ID and multimatte ID).

        No, I couldn't look at it as I'm away from the office right now and I have problems connecting to my work machine; I hope to be able look at this during the weekend.

          Hi,
          I saw in the release note of the last nighty (Maya 2011 linux64) that this bug was corrected.
          I have tested and it does not work. My materialID is black.
          What is wrong ?

            Can you tell me the exact steps to reproduce the problem or give me a scene?

                It seems I've broken all MaterialIDs.
                It should be fixed in the next nightly build.
