  • Auto adjust bucket size when rendering Preview Resolution

    Hi Guys,

    just a very small and easy request...when i set a "test resolution" in mayas renderview i would like to the bucket size to be adjusted accordingly...do you think this would be possible?

      You want the bucket size to be relative to the resolution, right?

      Probably you can do this already with a pre-render script.

          Okay, but what do you want to happen with the bucket size? You want it to scale automatically to 25% of the one in the settings?

            Exactly....i know one could do that with a preRender MEL but i think since you already take the testResolution into account while exporting it would be easy to adjust the bucket size accordingly...

                  +1, also it would be marvellous if the bucket size would also be reduce when rendering a region.
                  I usually end up with 1 bucket rendering when I check a small region on my render.

                    This would be great.

                    I have to keep several bucket sizes (4x4, 8x8, 16x16, etc) mapped on a shelf to work around this quality of life issue.
