User attributes with lights

Hi,
It is possible to control the intensity of a light by objects ?
For example :
1) I have 2 spheres and 1 directionnal light with an intensity 10.
2) I add an user attributes on 1 spheres with a value of 5.
3) I connect a user scaler utility node to the intensity of my light.

I know i can duplicate the light, add light linking/shadow linking, etc etc... But with a lot objects, i must duplicate....a lot of lights and a lot of connections.

For the moment we don't have the user attributes on lights, although this is on the "to do" list.
