Would you enable the Reflect On Back Side option by the default, when doing the rendering of Blinn and Phong shader of Maya?
If an Eccentricity parameter is set to 0.0, reflection will not be calculated by Back Side.
A difference is conspicuous.
There is no big transition in mentalray or Maya Software.
Blinn and Phong are used in order to give the compatibility of a rendering by Maya Software and mentalray now.
Although there is a method of using VRay_OverrideMaterial, it is a request about standard Blinn and Phong conversion.
