  • bake subdiv/displacement to proxy

    Hi,

right now VRay proxy´s do not support subD or displacement... very bad for lets say objects who need this

Maybe it would be possible to add an option which bakes out the displacement or subD approximation during the export of the proxy.

Just a random idea from my side.

Subdivision and displacement are supported for proxies in the latest nightly builds, although you have to be somewhat careful with this as it can increase memory usage.

If i understand, add displacement on proxy will render the proxy as "regular mesh" (not dynamics, without to load geometry on fly by bucket) ?
