  • Bake Multiple Meshes in on Texture without combining

    Hi!

I dont know if someone had posted or requested something like this before, but....

Is is impossible to implant a function that vray can bake multiple meshes into on bakeset/texture? At the moment every seperate mesh gets a single baked texture, and it is not really useful for a bunch of thing and its creating a big overhead on calculation time, coz vray is rendering all the gi again and again for every object.

The only way to get one texture for a group of objects is to combine all the meshes to one mesh. This workflow is really annoying if you have to bake a bunch of object that needs on lightmap.

    Thx!

    Bump!

Is it possible or not to implant this? I need to know it for a future project, otherwise i need to write a pipeline solution on my site.

    Thx!

I would also be interested in this. Combining/separating is very annoying and time consuming and leads to a lot of component shader assignments.

      Thanks!

This feature is in our "to do" list and it's set with a high priority.

Thanks. Looking forward. Hopefully I can take a look soon on it in a nightly version.
