    This doesn't translate to vray. unsupported texture...

    but it's there something that is built into Vray max that i thought was on the list to be implemented in Vray Maya? using geo intersections to pipe that value into any bit of the shader?

    ??? Did that ever get converted over? and what was it called.... I know you guys showed it to use while in town about a year ago..

      The VRayDistanceTex texture is already a part of the nightly builds, if this is what you mean.

      As for the soup nodes, none of them work with V-Ray since there are no corresponding V-Ray shaders. You can probably talk to the author to see if they are interested in providing the respective implementations, or else you can simply bake them to textures.
