  • DR client names in addition to IPs

    Hi!

When I render DR in batch mode I only get messages like:

    V-Ray: dr host: 192.168.0.28:20207

It would be nice to see the clients name next to the IP, that would make troubleshooting a little bit easier.

Not a big thing, but a little helper

    Thanks!

    I haven't tested it... but
When you set up DR settings just type in name of machine and then render it. It should display that name instead of IP... am I right/wrong?
Then again you want both so we might need a tickbox for that , but maybe name could help you in mean time instead of IP...

I think pechart wants to see the names in the render log, so he can easily find his machines.

What DALDAL is saying is. If you put "renderslave01" in your DR settings instead of "renderslave01"'s IP address, you will see it (We think).

It will print the IP-address no matter how the server is specified into DR-settings.
The only place where the pc-name is used instead of IP-address is in Scene Transferred message:

              Code:
              [2014/Mar/11|17:04:45] Scene transferred to test-pc:20204
