    would it be possible to get a soft blend triplanar node for vray.?
    that could be really cool.

      I suppose you can write one in OSL... You can also use the V-Ray multiprojection node, although that one may be a bit difficult to set up and was not really done for that purpose.

        a blended box/ triplanar map would be great.. max too please.. neil's script is really great, i use it all the time, but it involves a plugin or multiple planar maps on each object and is a bit fiddly to set up and keep set up.

          I don't have a all in one "Shader / Node" solution:But I have put together a tri-planar shader that blends due to the camera normals I am doing a video tutorial in the coming weeks for a blended tri-planer network for Maya, it renders quite faster and is great for complex CAD GEO that you don't want to unwrap. Ill keep you posted when the video is done.

            Hi Ashton, just came across this thread while searching triplanar related info for maya. Has this video tutorial ever finished? If so, would be great to learn this technique from you. Thanks!
