Better support for display texture in VP2.0

  • Better support for display texture in VP2.0

    I know I can set the bake down the texture for the viewport with a way higher res than 64x64!
    But I think we should have it working by default,
    file node using v-ray , should be a supported texture type.

    Feel free to ask Autodesk to improve their Viewport 2.0 API and documentation... oh and to stop changing it completely from one release to the next.

          obviously as a workaround you can assign lamberts and phongs then use material override which works with important textures that need to be looked at in the vp.
          Maya 2020/2022

            Yes; it's good we added those overrides, isn't it Even though we didn't do it for this purpose originally...
