Hidden in the texture plugins there's a little gem called the tiles texture. This is, I think, a port of the Max tiles texture, but Maya does not have anything like it. I'd like to suggest including it with the other Vray textures, rather than having it buried in the plugins. I bet a lot of Maya folks would find it useful, and just don't know it exists.
