Interchangeable Licenses for max and maya

I'm just wondering if Chaosgroup would ever consider vray licences as non software specific, so I could use vray on max and maya (not at the same time but without having to pay to change) ?

did this ever get discussed? I notice that Redshift (boooooo) license covers all platforms, just wondering how crazy an idea it would be for vray?

I know Arnold can be installed on any software with the same licence so I don't see why it couldn't be implemented.
