Is it possible to get a "true" render time that measures the time elapsed from when I press the render button until the frame finishes saving on the disk?
I have a scene with a lot of displacement and complex geometry, but with just simple lights and materials. The time it takes to render from start to finish is about 5 minutes in real life, but only about a minute according to VRay, because that's how long it actually spends crawling buckets across the frame. Practically it means that to debug the geometry part of the scene, I have to sit with a stopwatch and manually time the render.
There is space enough in the Details section of the VFB history to display more information. You could add it there as a secondary time code, maybe call it "processing" time or something like that to avoid confusion.
