  • Height map blending on Triplanar node (Maya)

Would it be possible to eventually see an option to plug in an extra height map to the Vray Triplanar node that can sit along side each diffuse file input that would then blend the edges of a Tri-planar based on this height information as opposed to a straight faded blend overlap at the edges.

    Thanks

I don't think I fully understand what you're describing. Can you give us a practical example of the usage? Is this a per-side blend?

      Hi,

It is a per side blend. I guess an example would be if you were projecting sand on the Z and stones on the X, then the stones would sit higher and the blend would look like the sand fills up to and around the edges of the pebbles. Not sure if this image helps, as you can see the edge blending works with more definition. May not be easily possible, it just would give more fidelity to the results. Thanks for taking a look.

I've added a feature request for the devs to consider. You can refer to VMAYA-7868 in the future.
