  • Vray Glowing Wireframe

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to create glowing wireframes. What I have tried:

Vray light material with a Vray edges mask (mask is being ignored)
Have a Vray light material as base and then have a vray material with vray edges as mask above it. (tried every blend mode, the lightmaterial will not show)

And using the self-illumination color doesn't add actual glow to the wireframe.

It there a way to do it?

You can't blend materials of different types using layer/group masks.
If you want to blend materials of different types, you have to use either a V-Ray Blend material or Shader items.
    I've explained it here : https://forums.chaosgroup.com/forum/...147#post816147

Anyway, in your case using just a single V-Ray Material with the "vmtl Self-illumination color" effect for the edges texture will probably be sufficient.

The glow is applied as a post-effect, it can't be part of the render.
You can access the bloom/glare post effects from the button I've circled in the attached screen-shot.
