  • Displaying displacement in viewport

    Hi All,

The intensity of the displacement looks the same for both Modo and V-Ray material when rendered, but it is displayed differently in the Modo viewports. The mesh on the left has a Modo material, the one on the right a V-Ray Material, see how the displaced V-Ray material in the viewport is not properly representing of what gets rendered. It is not that big deal, but just makes it difficult to model around, and I prefer using V-ray material

If anyone can help, it would be awesome.

    Many thanks.

Click on the Create OpenGL viewport preview material as shown in the attached screen-shot.
This will create a Modo material and link the V-Ray material channels to it, including displacement distance.
Modo will use this Modo material for the OpenGL viewport, while V-Ray will still use the V-Ray material.
