Cryptomatte troubles

I sometimes have the problem that even V-Ray saving out correctly the Cryptomatte passes, I can't generate a matte from it. I tried several plugins to do so, but all file. The only thing I noticed that when it works I have an ID list with names, and if not I haven't one.
So anyone knows why it fails? Work around etc. Can't find anything in the help page.

What are you using to composite? In AE it is simply the cryptomatte effect.
It does need to be a bucket render or it will not generate correctly.

Fusion and Nuke. And of course its rendered bucket mode and also not GPU.

Well it works, but the test rendering is very grainy. It general works also on some scene, but on some not, thats why I ask. Maybe its in the wrong place in shader tree.

Ok, it seems I got the problem. As soon as I have materials above the base shader, e.g. with an own shader node. They appear all in the same color in the material output of crypto matte.
