  • Vray FastSS2 question

I was trying to play around with the FastSSS2 material and the sub surface scatter radius is represented as a color, that can not have a value greater than 1. The tool tip says that it is measured in cm which seems like it would need a value. As a side note there is not a scatter color in the material, is this supposed to be the scatter color?
Sorry in advance if this is obvious stuff as I am mostly reading the max manual and trying to figure out how it works in modo.

Yes "scatter radius" is "scatter color" from 3ds Max. You can set a color to values larger than 1 in MODO. You need to open the color dialog and enter the values in the RGB(HDR) section.
Or you can use the "Scatter radius mult." for this purpose.
I've changed the naming for future builds to match 3ds Max, as other testers got confused as well.
