  • Modo's Variation texture

    Hi,
    Will Modo's variation texture be fully supported with Vray? Now it only works with Particles, but Texture particle, Mesh part and Item are ignored as inputs.
    Also are there plans to support Random Texture Offset and Texture replicators?

    Тhe texture replicator(and texture particle input of the variation texture) will probably be left for some undefined time after the open beta ends.

    The mesh part and item inputs of the variation texture, as well as the random texture offset, we might be able to do during the beta.
    But I can't promise that, we might not have time for them.

    Have in mind that those last three all rely on random values that we will need to generate in V-Ray, this means the result won't
    match the MODO render completely. For the "particles" input of the variation texture, we already have those random values
    given by MODO - the actual particle IDs, so in that case the V-Ray and MODO results match.
