  • AO layer render quality

What would be the reason the AO pass render smooth or like the attached sample?

    EDIT:
SORRY...my bad. I overlooked the Occlusion Range...somehow I set it to 0...it is solved now

Do you mean the "Occlusion Rays" option ? I don't think "Occlusion Range" will have that effect.

Nope, the Occlusion rays have been on 64 for that render but the range was set to 0. I changed the range to 75 and it rendered perfect.

The default for the occlusion range is 0.0 and it means "infinite" range. Maybe the complexity of the scene results in so much noise with an infinite range
of the occlusion rays, or maybe there is some bug in the way I set the range to the V-Ray plug-in. How big is your scene, is 75 m. large enough to encompass
all of it ? I guess it is, if you have been working with real dimensions.

I actually set it to 75mm. I do work in real dimensions yes.

Well, in that case I would assume the noise was caused by the scene complexity.
