  • motion vector output.

I get only an motion vector output if I turn that on in the Modo camera settings. Is there a way to get a motion vector output without rendering that in the 3d Camera ?
Its possible in Modo for all who wants just 2d motion blur in post.

I need to fix that, it's not possible at the moment.

This should be fixed for tomorrow's nightly build (the one from 2015-06-20).

The motion vector output will now work in V-Ray, even if motion blur is disabled. Also its "Remap pixel values" and "Maximum motion" channels are used.

Note that V-Ray will compute the velocity in "pixels per frame", whereas MODO computes it in "pixels per whatever the current motion blur duration is",
which is somewhat strange, since the motion blur duration cannot be edited in the UI, if motion blur is disabled.

When remapping is enabled, V-Ray and MODO seem to do different things, so if you can, please give it a try.
