  • Vray-RT GPU Question

Is there a way to use a glossy texture map for rt-gpu? It works fine in the cpu version (also the 3ds max rt-gpu version), but seems to not work on gpu for modo.

I apologize if this has been brought up before.

This should be working in the nightly build from 2015-06-02, as well as in the coming 3.00.07 open beta build.

The changes fix all "scalar" texture effects like reflection glossiness, the V-Ray material's opacity,
MODO reflection roughness (only in MODO 901 with "Shading model"="Physically based"),
diffuse amount of MODO's material, etc.

Note that you still cannot blend shader tree layers like in CPU mode, but you can use
the following Image map channels - "Invert", "Low value" and "High value" to remap the values of the texture.
