VFB export bug

When exporting from the Vray Frame Buffer the background image from my sIBL environment lighting setup (visible only to the camera, not indirect or reflections) wasn't included in my export (even though it showed in the VFB rendering). This occurred in all export formats be they 32/16 or 8bit.

Not sure if this is an old bug as the the latest Mac version of Vray on the nightlies server is: - vray_beta_30007_modo_mavericks_x64 (from June 4th)

Is this a known issue? And is there any update regarding Mac build getting more regular nightly builds?

I think this is normal, the environment is written to the image, but so is the alpha channel (if the format allows it).
I don't have Photoshop to open the png files, but you should be able to disallow the alpha channel and see the background/environment.
I used Irfanview, as it doesn't apply the alpha channel, to check this.

Have you tried to save to jpg, it doesn't support an alpha channel, so you should see the environment in that case with any viewer.

This is the same on Windows.
I will try to make the Mac nightly soon.

Apologies. My test machine has an old installation of Photoshop (CS 5.1) and it's converting apha to transparency on exr and png files. The current CC version of Photoshop handles alpha as it should (provides you with an option when opening the file for alpha or transparency) and the background layer is where it should be.

Also apologies for bugging you on an update to the Mac version of the beta. It's just that it's frustrating seeing a Wintel version being uploaded daily knowing that the Mac version is missing a lot of recent changes.

Whenever you're ready Vlad, I'm sure you've got enough on your plate with pandering to the concerns of us pesky Mac users.

No problem, a nightly build for Mac OS X will make my life easier as well, as it will hopefully catch compilation issues or Mac OS X specific bugs earlier.
