I do not have a dongle for beta, I then uses the software licensed version, but in the last nighties, there is no version software license , only version dongle license.
For the next official beta (release will be around December 8th), the license will be activated online, so you will not need a dongle anymore. You will be able to download your licenses directly from our online license server.

it will be resolved?
You will have to wait for the new licensing to come out, like Vlado said, it is planned for December 8th.
The software license build got broken due to some internal code reorganizations, and fixing it doesn't seem worth it, considering this type of license won't be used going forward.
Sorry that you will have to wait in order to test the new stuff.
OK, so I just installed the 4.0 beta license server and everything seems to be running smoothly, but I get a "Access expires: 31 Aug 2015" when I try to download the new Dec 08, 2015 beta build.

Yes, the nightly build access has an expiration date, and needs to be re-newd by sending an e-mail to support@chaosgroup.com
The people registered for the beta receive automatic access only to the official i.e. stable build which, as always, can be found here : http://www.chaosgroup.com/en/2/downl...l?s=v-ray-modo
I only see DONGLE versions in 9.12. nightlies folder.
Try it, it should work with the online license server. These DONGLE builds only take a V-Ray Render Node 3.0 Beta license ( which you should now have in your online account ).
It doesn't take a V-Ray for MODO GUI Beta license ( which you should also have). I was waiting for the official builds to be released before switching the nightly builds as well.
Once I do it, they will have the ONLINE suffix instead of DONGLE.
This means that people that prefer using dongles will need to have them reprogrammed to include the V-Ray for MODO GUI Beta license, if they want to use the builds with the ONLINE suffix.
Or they can try the online licensing for a while.

Oh, wait, I thought you were referring to the nightly builds.
This shouldn't really happen, I think.
You should send an e-mail to support@chaosgroup.com in this case too.

Greetings,
Vladimir Nedev
Nevermind, I had to log in with my MODO beta account. Confusing when you also have a Vray for Max account.
Update from the support and web people on the "Access expires: 31 Aug 2015" issue for the official download section :
some (or all, I am not sure) of the accounts had to be updated with a script to get the access extended. This is now done, you should log off and back on, and try downloading again.
If you still have a problem, write to support. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Installation went fine, but when I try to render, I get this error:
"V-ray could not initialize UI license, error code is: -197"
How or where do you initialize the online activation? Sorry for the maybe dumb question.
In theory, if you had previously registered for the V-Ray for MODO Beta you should have gotten
- access rights to the new official 3.01.01 build ( it says version 30101 on the page) , which is here : http://www.chaosgroup.com/en/2/downl...l?s=v-ray-modo
Note that this build is around 6 weeks older than the current nightly builds.
I guess you were using a dongle until now. The dongle doesn't have the V-Ray for MODO Beta GUI license, as previously (before the 3.01.01 build) V-Ray for MODO dongle builds didn't require a GUI license.
This has changed in preparation for the final release.
