just installed vray for mac and get error

V-ray could not initialize UI license, error code -200

I assume this process is automatic and behind the scene when rendering with v-ray it goes out to check for lic authorization and then just start rendering. What am I missing here?

Did you get your license on a dongle or with online licensing ?
If you chose online licensing, you need to install the online license server from here (download version 4.1.0) : http://www.chaosgroup.com/en/2/downl...license-server

If after installing the license server you get a 404 error when opening http://localhost:30304/#/
you most likely need to delete the .ChaosGroup folder as explained here : http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...357#post675357

After opening http://localhost:30304/#/ you have to activate your machine on that page by logging in to your chaosgroup.com account.

I have downloaded and installed the license server and still get the same error message. There is no way to access localhost:30304/#/ and I have done a search on my drive for ".ChaosGroup" as well as "ChaosGroup" and there is no folder. There is one in preferences "com.chaosgroup.Users.vlado.savedState". Would appreciate further help to get this resolved.

The .ChaosGroup folder is under /Users/your_user_name/
It is hidden (because it starts with a '.'). To show hidden folders on Mac OS X, you need to execute the following commands in a terminal:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
killall Finder
