Since V-Ray isn't supporting the Remap-Option when using ShadingNormalOutput as renderoutput, I'm wondering if there's away to achieve the same result. It's a pass I'm using on a daily base so it would be great if this option would be supported somehow.

What file format are you saving to? I believe we remap the normals render element automatically when saving the render elements to 8-bit files, but not when saving a multi-channel OpenEXR file (at least, in 3ds Max/Maya, I think).

Usually I'm saving my files as 16Bit EXR-Files, but also tried to save this pass as 8Bit PNG, with no visible difference except the loss of color information.
