VRay Guide Hair render

Hi

Just looking for a brief tutorial to make hair from guide (paint layout) and rendering in Vray for sure

You need to enable Use Render Cache in the V-Ray Preferences in order to render hair generated from MODO's Fur Material.
Animation on the hair is not supported right now, hopefully soon.



For rendering the guides themselves, you enable Render Curves on the mesh item, just like in MODO.

It's not supported yet unfortunately.

With MODO hair, this won't be possible for now, unless the hair is static during the animation.

You can render animated hair using a V-Ray Proxy item referencing an Alembic file.
