  • Aerial Perspective for Modo?

    Hi Guys,

sorry if this has been asked before. Tried to find it on the forum - currrently the Aerial Perspective https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ialPerspective is not avaialable for modo, right?

Are there plans to bring it to modo? Any timeline Vladimir?

    Thanks and all the best,
    Jonathan

      Hi Vladimir,

is this just a matter that you didnt have time to implement it yet, or is there something standing in the way.

      Thanks,
      Jonathan

Note that you must connect a Directional Light that has Physical Sun enabled or has the V-Ray Sun/Sky package.
Otherwise the aerial perspective will work with default values for the sun/sky.

If I enable affect Environment and background (image 3) I get strange alpha channel. hope this can be fixed to get clean black&white alpha channel.

                        cheers,
                        b.

                          Hey bbgrid,

Appreciate you comment. I've been discussing that with the colleagues and development team. By the way, you can use it in a post-production with a gradient or ramp tool, instead of specific render element. I will keep you posted.

The alpha channel is technically a RGB channel. Black and white alpha will not allow you to compose the aerial perspective properly.

                            Best regards,
                            Vlado
