  • How to start RT GPU without going to Vray toolbox?

Is there a way to start vray RT without going to the toolbox panel?

If not, maybe there could be something like holding ctrl and clicking on the RT button to do GPU vs. CPU rendering?

Yes, you can use a shortcut or do a custom button. For example I use Shift-R for Production Render and Shift-Ctrl-R for RT GPU.

    The command is : vray.rt.start rt-gpu-cuda

Ha, thanks John, I'll probably do that. I was just wondering if in the "out of the box" UI there was another way.

        I've added this for tomorrow's nightly build ( 2016.11.12 ).
You can activate it in two different ways:
        - hold Ctrl when clicking on the Start RT button
        - right click on the Start RT button and choose GPU from the menu that appears (MODO remembers this choice, so next time you only need to click on the button, but beware, holding Ctrl now switches to RT CPU).

The Start RT GPU icon has a green background to distinguish it from RT CPU.
