  • Vray camera and modelling view

    Hi

I am fairly new to V-Ray in Modo and wanted to know something which I am sure I have just overlooked.

In the Vray render tab/layout, when I change the 3d view underneath the render buffer view, the render view changes as well.
So if I change to perspective to do some edits, the camera view also changes to render the perspective view.
This is whilst RT is running

Is there a way to lock the render camera?
Basically the way the native Modo render tab works

    thanks
    Simon

This behavior happens when you have Immediate Camera Update enabled in the V-Ray Preferences (should be disabled by default).
The behavior is described in the tool-tip of this option.

Basically, when the option is enabled, V-Ray follows the current 3D view, as the normal camera channels are not updated until you release the mouse button.

So, just disable the option to have the behavior you want.
