  • how to increase the bump map strength

    I have run out of ideas on how to control the bump strength. So far the only way I have found is the value of the 1&2nd colors, when i add the bump amount there is not change other than though the 1&2nd colors and if the bump amount is suppose to be used how should it plug into the schematic setup?

    No need to make Schematic connections.
    The val Bump Amount and val Bump Map effects are used only by the V-Ray alSurface material.
    Use the Bump effect that is built into MODO to apply bump to any V-Ray material (including the standard V-Ray Material that you are using).

    The bump amplitude is controlled from the V-Ray Mtl Common tab, see screen:
