  • Glass and light

i have a shower cabin. it's plain glass but i feel it stops way too much light.
the light falls from right and you can clearly see pretty prominent shadow on the left wall

    what am i doing wrong?

By default the V-Ray material's refraction is setup to work with caustics, which are disabled.
You can create "fake" refractive shadows by enabling the affect shadows option in the V-Ray material.
In that case you don't have to enable caustics which are much harder to setup properly and will increase render time.

Unfortunately, I cannot change the default value for affect shadows without affecting old scenes/materials, that's why I haven't done it yet.
