KPaths/s drop off

I go from 8466 KPaths/s down to 841 KPaths/sec, in about 5 to 7 seconds, into the render. Is this actually affecting my render times? Is it really slowing down? Confused. Any help?

it actually drops down in to the 300s and stays there...

You have mouse tracking enabled. This makes V-Ray trace rays only around the mouse, which specially if around a place where not much tracing is needed, like background, can be quite low to utilize the hardware. What happens if you disable it?
