  • Setup for Substance Painter please

    Hi Im new to both Vray and Substance painter. Iv used the preset in substance for vray have the textures, where do I put them please?

    Hey, Dave,

    Well, you can use Substance export preset for Modo, Unreal, Unity, and V-Ray as well. Check the compatibility page as well: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/pages/vi...+Compatibility

      Hello

      I have the textures already, maybe I should have explainned. I need to know where each map goes in order to get it to look right?

        Its the setup for Maya, but applies to Modo as well. Export from Substance Painter using the Vray preset, then set the texture effect of each texture in Modo (standard Vray material):

        Diffuse -> vmtl Diffuse Color
        Reflection -> vmtl Reflection Color
        Glossiness -> vmtl Reflection Glossiness
        IOR -> vmtl Fresnel IOR
        Normal -> Normal

          You can also set the Diffuse texture to have Modo's own "Diffuse Color" effect.
          This will also work with V-Ray's material, but will additionally be visible in Modo's OpenGL viewport.
