  • GPU render set up

I have new PC at work now and it comes with a Nvidia Quadro P5000 video card, 16GB RAM. I have tried GPU/RT rendering and in the main i just get a black blank screen after doing initial . On some occasions it has rendered (didn't seem any different in speed from CPU/RT) making changes in the shader tree do not show in the render. Or sometimes i get an error like below

I also notice that after quitting the RT render window the small green triangle button for GPU render remain greyed out. . .

Do i need to set certain settings somewhere to use GPU rendering?

I have already been to "Select Devices forVRAY GPU" in windows 10 and can see that p5000 card is indeed being used.

    I'm on modo version 12.0v1

    Regards

    Matt

    Hey, Matt,

Thank you for the post. Did you get the same error with CPU or only GPU is affected? What changes did you do? I will need more info about the workflow in order to be helpful to you.
Btw, The GPU options are integrated into Modo Preferences -> V-Ray Renderer -> CUDA Devices.

Try installing the latest nVidia drivers.
