  • VR to YouTube Issues

    Dear all,

I’ve been making a series of interior panoramas for a client and they have been working well when uploading to YouTube and viewed on their computer screen or phone. Now he is interested in viewing them on his Oculus Go, so I’ve been changing the settings to be able to produce a stereoscopic image.

I can’t seem to get it to look correct though, I find the only way I can get it to look sort of correct is if I cross my eyes. I have a Firefly VR so I’ve been testing the VR images in that.

Ive tried many variations of the settings and have read different articles but can’t seem to get it to work. Ive tried different intericulur distances, convergence distance, etc. I’ve attached my settings. Does anyone have any advice for the settings? Could it be messing up when uploading to YouTube (I’ve been using the media injector)? Could it be my headset?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for the post. Can you try also Spherical VR camera in Camera settings? I think is easy for setup.

      Cheers,
Hi Boyan, thanks for the response.

So this would be using modo’s camera settings instead of v-ray’s then right? If I set this to spherical vr as you have suggested, should I turn off some of the settings I have on as shown in the screenshot, or keep them as they are?

        Howdy,

You need to disable override MODO Projection Type option. Btw, You can try and Cube 6x1 camera option (this came from V-Ray Camera Type Overrides)
