Area Rendering with Standalone

Hi,

I often experience crashes when I want to do final Renderings using Vray in Modo. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the errors, since they sometimes happen and sometimes don´t.
Because of these issues I grew fond of Standalone Rendering for finals which is much more solid, starting it from within Modo. Now the only thing missing is that the Area Rendering gets translated as well.

Maybe it can be done in a future release!

There is a check-box, Ignore region, near the top of the Render with V-Ray Standalone dialogue.
If you uncheck it, it will use the render region.
Is this what you need ?

When do the crashes happen when final rendering from inside V-Ray for Modo ?
During export, or at the start of rendering, or during rendering ?

Thanks Vladimir, I don´t know how I could overlook this obvious checkbox all the time!

Usually I wait until he drops the first buckets and I leave the office. When I came back in the morning he often only shows me Modo´s Crash Dialog, sometimes not even that. I encounter these issues when scenes get really really dense and a lot of big textures (16k) get involved, combine with big render sizes (above 10k). Sometimes I replace the textures with converted exr´s from your tool and it seems to help a little. The textures usually come from a server which is not always fast. Often he likes to crash when I start the Rendering immediately after starting the app, When I wait a little and scroll through the image palette, I have the feeling things get more stable.

Sorry for this wishy washy declaration. Otherwise, Vray handles scenes very fast and very well
