  • Weird Blocky Areas Appearing on Final Render

    Hi

When I do a final render with VRay standalone, or Chaos Cloud, I get some weird blocky areas appearing. They don't appear in the preview RT render.

The same results occurs if I do a test putting a VRay Material at the top of the shader tree (so no textures).
Any ideas on how to eliminate these please?

    Many thanks!

    Hey, Peepo,

Thank you for the post! Currently, you can try two things -> A/change the secondary engine to Brute Force; B/ change the Light Evaluation mode : Full. I think the second one will be fine. Can you share with me vrscene file, I'm interested of lights and shader/ material setup to confirm the issue. Have you been using the latest nightly build? If your answer is negative can you try with it?

    Cheers,

Hi Boyan - thanks for your helpful answer!! I logged a support ticket with the Choas Cloud Team, and they pointed me in the same direction - I changed the Light Evaluation mode to full and this solved it completely. They mentioned that it's been fixed in Next - maybe time for me to upgrade

      Thanks buddy
