  • Gradient bump / displacement height not working

    hi guys

looks like it does not support gradients with input parameters "bump/displacement height".
    i basically added
    vray material
on top a vray noise (as bump /displacement)
on top of that the gradient (vmtl diffuse color, and input parameter bump or displacement)
added some colors to the gradient

the first color of the gradient is being used and the rest of the colors are disregarded.

however it works with input parameters "thickness and incidence angle

can someone verify this as a currentl limitation please

    thanks

Yes, these two are not implemented currently. Here is a list of the inputs of the gradient texture that don't work in V-Ray

    - "Texture value"
    - "Bump height"
    - "Clip distance"
    - "Displacement height"
    - "Slope" - this works but is different compared to modo
    - "Slope undisplaced"
    - "Surface ID"

Also all the "(Object space)" distance inputs work differently in V-Ray. They will be computed in such a way,
so that they "stick" to objects that are translated/rotated in an animation.
