I'm getting constant white alpha value for transparent/refractive surfaces. Is this a bug or do I have to enable it somewhere to get the correct alpha output values of glass?

For the V-Ray material you have to change the "Affect alpha" property to "Color+alpha".
For the modo material, this is not possible with the current Beta build. I have fixed it for future builds.
