So rendering out an animation and everything is smooth minus the part where the mm of the camera changes, vray doesn't render the frames correctly it jumps. MODO renders them fine and the OGL is smooth.

What do you mean by "mm", the focal length of the camera ?
I don't think animating the focal length/fov will get motion blurred, is that what you mean by "jumps" ?
It's best if you can give me a scene for this.

It should be a smooth zoom, instead it renders stepped.

It sounds like it is the lack of motion blur on the focal length/FOV ( and the MODO renderer does support this ) , but it will be nice if you send me an example scene, just in case it is something else.

Motion blur on the MODO version isn't enabled. It's like vray just skips frames even though the frames are there. The same frame in modo doesn't look like the same frame in vray.
I do a simple example with a cube because if it is a lack of support that will show it.
I hope if thats the case its fixed soon I was planning on using vray for this animation but looks like if this isn't supported it will have to be rendered in modo since the deadline for this is fast approaching.

Do you mean support for motion blurred FOV or the problem you are having ?

You can upload it to https://www.wetransfer.com/ or dropbox and then send me the link to vladimir.nedev[at]chaosgroup[dot]com.
Or you can try sending it directly as an e-mail attachment, but it might not get through.
If the scene is very confidential, we can provide you with access to an FTP server of ours, so you can upload it there directly.
But this will take some additional time to set up.

So I found the problem. The vray camera package is the issue. With vray physical camera it renders wrong, like frames got skipped. But when I remove the vray camera packages and render the animation its correct.
