DR with dome light

IES and Dome light are taking a good minute to actually start rendering when using DR. By the time the slave starts the render is already half done on my test scene.

When using area lights this isn't a problem does it have to do with the image attached?

Yes, it may be the image transfer from client to render server. But if you start the rendering a second time, a cached version of the image should be used, which is stored on the render server.

But 1 minute seems too much for the transfer. If you can send me the scene, I can test it here and see what's slowing it down.
Also the log on the render server might help.
