  • Resizing history settings window crashes modo

I noticed the VFB history preferences window often opens "off" the top edge of the screen so you can't see its title bar. I tried resizing the window to see if it would force it into view and modo crashed.

    Here are the steps:
    1. Start modo and click show VFB window button
    2. Click the H icon at the bottom of VFB to open history panel
    3. Click the "settings" button at the top right of the history panel and choose history settings

NOTE: At this point, most times the window title bar is OFF the top off the screen

    4. Grab the bottom right corner and try to resize the window

    RESULT: Modo crashes

It could be a Qt crash but I'm not sure

Can you tell me which V-Ray build this is? We had some issues with the VFB in recent builds.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

I think all of these should be fixed in newer builds.

          Best regards,

OK thanks Vlado. The nightlies have been stuck at 26606 for over 2 weeks now. This may be intentional but just letting you know.

Yes, I haven't updated the nightlies with the latest changes from the master branch.
                I will do it soon.

The nightly build from 2016.05.31 has the fixes for the problems reported in this thread.

Just confirming the crash no longer happens. The problem where the window opens with its titlebar off the top of the screen is still there though (you have to start modo with no config)

If you grab the window from the right hand side and resize it, it forces the whole window to pop down so you can see the title bar and drag it around

It feels pretty clunky having to do this
