  • Clipping or gamut warning?...

I'm used to seeing clipping or software that has a gamut warning and am wondering if this is what I'm seeing here. The scene is lit entirely by one of Modo's default hdr studio environments and the reflection of the lights in the V-Ray RT (CPU) window appear to be clipping or there's some kind of gamut warning on them. Does anyone know what this is or how to resolve it? Not seeing the issue in Modo's preview render window.

You have disabled color clamping in the VFB. See here where to enable it:

Name:	force_color_clamping.PNG
Views:	1
Size:	12.8 KB
ID:	863035

The state of this button is saved in the V-Ray Render Settings package as part of the .lxo scene.
When you open a .lxo file, the VFB will take its state from what is saved in the scene.
If you remove and re-add the package, the VFB won't reset, so you need to save the scene (without touching anything in the VFB, as that will cause the current state to be transferred to the MODO scene again), and then close and re-open MODO.
