  • Could not obtain a license (61) on render nodes.

Last week after having a fun time trying to purchase the software I was able to get a render node up and running as well. Yesterday that node lost connection and I can't get that one back or add any others. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and following all the steps here. That worked for a bit but now I have no nodes and no amount of fiddling is getting them back. The License server shows one render License in use as well. Is this going to be a ongoing problem of getting my render nodes / license to work everytime I try to render? Anyone have any solutions?

Thanks for any help. Main workstation is Windows 10, nodes are Macs.

*Update: I just tried the trouble shooting and I can see the license server from the slaves / nodes. Here is a screen shot from a Mac with the machines IP.

**Update three: After messing around for hours I have it working now but I have no idea what I did to make it work. Really wish I could explain a way to fix it but I rebooted my entire network after the 15th or so reinstall and then it all came up fine. I'll be bringing more nodes on next week, hopefully those go smoother then the first two.

The License server shows one render License in use as well.
If it stays like that even though you are not rendering, you will have to send support an e-mail to dis-engage it.
The Online licensing team is working on fixing this issue.

Could not obtain a license (61) on render nodes.
Error 61 can be caused by:
    - license server is not running
    - wrong IP address for license server connection
    - wrong port for license server connection
    - firewall blocking the connection

Are you sure your IP addresses are setup to be static and won't change between restarts ?

Thanks for all the Help Vlad.

Hmm, I wish I new how to do that with my router. I'll talk to my network guy and see what he can do to check on that.

Meanwhile, there are only four slots to add host IPs into Vray, How do I add more so I can use my full 6?

Just add them in one field separated with ';' , like this : 10.1.10.14;10.1.10.21

The tool-tip mentions this, with an example.
