Smoothing angle not updating with Vray.

If I alter the smoothing angle I'm only seeing sporadic updates in Vray. I can't put my finger on what triggers it to update either- it seems a bit random.

The only way I can get it to sometimes update seems to be if I move the scene camera, and with RT running, deactivate and then re-activate the vray material. Then stop and restart RT/main render.

If I use a MODO material, the smoothing will only update when I stop/restart, but at least it's reliable.

Is this a known issue?

Yes, I made it a habit to always deactivate and re-activate a material when i change the smoothing angle.
