If you add a physical sun package to a directional light and enable physically based daylight (unclamped) in the environment, changing the vray intensity multiplier doesnt update RT correctly.
MODO 10.2v2 131034
V-Ray 3.40.03 27144
1. In the render layout, add a sphere item
2. Add a physical sun package to the direct light
3. Set the environment material to physically based daylight, and disable "clamp sky brightness"
4. Start RT CPU
5. Set the directional light > vray sun/sky intensity multiplier to 0.01
RESULT: The sphere is still bright white, while the sky is dark.
EXPECTED: Both sky and light should be dark. Restart RT to see the expected result.
WORKAROUND: Toggle environment material off/on or restart RT
I know that using the intensity multiplier is not the recommended way to work, but this should still work.
