  • Stripping out Vray from scene file for MODO renders HOW!?

I am working with client on some scenes, and they are using MODO to render on Rebus.

They're opening the scene and having issues because they don't have Vray installed, and we're not using it.

How do I strip these out of scene files so the errors don't pop up?

From the V-Ray menu. Add or Remove V-Ray package -> Remove ALL V-Ray packages from ALL items in the scene.

    Does this do the trick?

Neverko- thanks it did. Solution was right under my nose.

Funk on the skype Vray channel pointed that out to me too, and reminded me that we can disable the automatic application of the packages in preferences. So I've gone ahead and done that while I work on this project.

Wish there was a way to do it per scene (is there?) since I might soon have overlapping MODO and Vray rendering projects, but it's really not that hard to toggle these features on and off. I could probably make a script that just does it in one go.
